How Park Assist – Reversing Aids Work

Utilising the latest in ultrasonic technology, the parking aids create a detection zone up to 1.5 metres from the bumper to detect obstacles.

 

Rear sensors are automatically engaged when reverse gear is selected. When the sensors begin to detect an obstacle, the driver will hear an audible beep from the sound speaker discretely fitted inside the vehicle. The frequency of the beeps increases as the obstacle becomes closer until a constant tone sounds when the obstacle is 30cm away.

The sensors are mounted directly into the front bumper and can be colour coded to blend in with the bumper.
